I've been listening to Dave Grohl a lot on podcasts and stuff. He just did a documentary on Sound City, the legendary studio where Nirvana recorded Nevermind. I first heard about the Sound City as the home where Fleetwood Mac recorded Fleetwood Mac and Rumors. Also Neil Young recorded After the Gold Rush and Elton John recorded Caribou just to name a few of the other greats.
Anyway. I was listening to a bit about Grohl talking about forming Foo Fighters which at first was just him recording some songs by himself after Curt's death.
The struck me as very good story fodder. This band member reeling from the death of a friend and front man of a successful but very young band. He's trying to distance himself from everything that reminds him of his friend but driven to make music and how that music helps him find his way back.
Need to do something with this.
